Emma Poyntz is a professional freelance logger. Over the past few years, she has gained experience on set on numerous Manx-produced short films in the AD department.

She is a logger for Discovery TV series GOLD RUSH for Raw Television until October 2016. Before this, she was a logger for TLC TV series SUDDENLY ROYAL for Tent City Productions.

From 2011-2014 she was the Assistant to the Producer of Cinewerx in LA which produced the Nephilim feature 3D animation.

From 2008-2010 she was Production Manager for A Martin CGI.

From 2005-2008 she was Animation Studio Manager at Balley Beg Ltd. Projects during that time included Iron Man and Freefonix (Method Studio Paris / Cinnamon Ent London), and Finley the Fire Engine (Kickstart Ent LA / Cinnamon Ent London for the BBC).

In Dec 2005, Emma was Trainee Script Supervisor for Sally Jones' feature ‘Big Nothing’.

A sea-going shooting researcher with substantial experience filming extreme environments, my passion is the wild, and the people and animals that inhabit wild places.

I hold an M.Sc. in Evolutionary and Behavioural Ecology and have a particular interest in animal behaviour as well as maritime history and exploration.
