"The Lawless Heart" is three stories of love; a heart which betrays, a heart which derails and a heart which finally breaks. Set during one summer in an English riverside town the three stories take place at the same time but are told consecutively. Three times we cross the same patch of time and behind each story we glimpse the bones of others. Identical events, seen from different perspectives yield surprising insights; outcomes may be seen before their origins and characters stumble towards a destiny we already know. This playful structure reveals unexpected layers of emotion in a sharp look at the human comedy of love.
