| Synopsis | Living on a remote island in the Baltic Sea, Ferdinand Rupitsch dreams of the day when he will become a writer. His life changes however when he meets beautiful Irish harpist Rebecca. Mesmerised by her beauty, he seeks every opportunity for chance encounters. Unsuccessful in his endeavours he meets Henry, a sophisticated and enigmatic stranger who teaches him to get closer to Rebecca.
Under Henry's guidance Ferdinand follows Rebecca to Hamburg, rents a room opposite her apartment and slowly engrosses himself in her life.
