Using your property as a film location can provide you with extra income and a chance to see film-making live in action. We are in particular need of farmhouses and farm buildings, contemporary interiors, historic Manor houses and Pubs and restaurants, although a location can be anything a script calls for. If you would like to register your property, you should read the guidance notes first before filling in the entry form and sending it back with some pictures (preferably digital).

Under the Stars event a success - submitted 10th September 2007

Under The StarsThe weekend's outdoor screenings of Grease and Casino Royale were extremely successful, with a great turnout and beautiful weather to boot! The stunning backdrop of The Nunnery grounds added further ambience to the event. The Friday night sell out screening of Grease attracted families and Ugroups who were all keen to sing along and dance during the film, creating a fantastic atmosphere (that was further propelled by the glasses of wine!). Saturday night's screening of Casino Royale was slightly more demure, although the females in the audience seemed to enjoy Daniel Craig emerging from the sea...

As this was our (and the Island's) first public outdoor film screenings, we would appreciate feedback from those who attended the event to see how we can improve for next year. All suggestions are welcome to iomfilm@dti.gov.im
